NBI CLEARANCE
Per information from the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), applicants who have previously issued NBI clearances (from 2014 onwards) can now renew their NBI clearance without the need of accomplishing the new NBI fingerprint form No. 5, provided that there are no changes to their personal data. Online application is possible directly through the NBI portal: https://clearance.nbi.gov.ph/
Applicants who are living/working abroad may also secure and accomplish the Fingerprint Card Form, available at the Embassy. This process also applies to Foreign Nationals who had lived in the Philippines and will be required to submit an NBI Clearance Certificate. Application for NBI Clearance is made in person and by appointment only.
REQUIREMENTS
- Personal Appearance
- Duly accomplished NBI Form (not available online)
- Two (2) passport-sized photos with white background
- Valid Passport or government-issued ID
- Fee of €25,00
The accomplished NBI form duly certified by the Consular Officer has to be sent by the applicant himself/herself directly to the NBI main office in Manila for the issuance of the clearance. In most cases, the applicant would need to authorise an individual with a Special Power of Attorney (SPA) to secure the NBI clearance upon release. Please refer to the process of securing an SPA here.
