Re: New Visa Regulations for Airline Crewmembers and Special Flights
The Philippine Embassy wishes to inform the public about the following immigration regulations recently issued by the Philippine Bureau of Immigration involving crewmembers of airlines on a regular and special flights:
- Airline crewmembers of regular and special flights who are on duty status or about to join their assigned flight shall not be required to secure a Philippine visa prior to their arrival in the Philippines. Likewise, the six-month rule on passport validity shall not be applied to them.
- The said crewmembers shall only be required to present either their (a) passport and crew member certificate, or (b) passport and airline identification card.
- This new regulation, however, shall not be applicable to passengers of special flights who are visa required nationals. They are still required to secure an appropriate entry visa from a Philippine Embassy or Consulate abroad prior to their arrival in the Philippines.
Anyone who has any questions about this new regulation may contact the Port Operations Division of the Bureau of Immigration at:
