PUBLIC ADVISORY NO. 48

In view of the rising cases of COVID-19 in Germany, effective immediately, the Embassy will implement the “3G rule” (vaccinated, recovered, or tested – geimpft, genesen, getestet) for all consular applicants above the age of six years old.


Vaccinated applicants may present their yellow vaccination booklet, or their digital vaccination certificate on the Corona-Warn-App or the CovPass app.


If you have recovered from coronavirus, you can present your positive test result as proof. The test result is valid from 11 to 180 days after you tested positive.


If you are neither vaccinated nor recovered, you will need to present a negative test result. You can present a negative PCR test no more than 48 hours old, or a negative rapid antigen test that is a maximum of 24 hours old.


Applicants will also be required to check-in through the LUCA app or accomplish a written contact tracing form.

UPDATED ADVISORY ON VISA ISSUANCE

Consistent with the resolutions promulgated by the IATF Resolution No. 128, the suspension of visa issuance is partially lifted in accordance with the following measures:


Beginning 01 August 2021, foreign spouse, parent/s and/or minor children of Filipino citizens only, not traveling with said Filipino citizens but are joining them in the Philippines, may be issued 9(a) visas without need for an Entry Exemption Document (EED), subject to compliance with the visa requirements; (This applies to foreign nationals from visa-free countries)


Beginning 01 August 2021, eligible foreign workers may be issued 9(g) and 47(a)(2) visas as long as the respective visa authority from the Bureau of Immigration (BI) and the Department of Justice (DOJ) would have been secured. Applications should be directly filed by the Philippine-based employer with the BI or the DOJ as the case may be.

GENERAL ARRIVAL PROTOCOLS

All arriving passengers are kindly advised to be guided by the following:


• Mandatory quarantine for 14 days shall be completed;
• International passengers shall be required to undergo a facility or hotel quarantine for ten (10) days upon arrival;
• Testing will be done on Day 7, with Day 1 being the date of arrival/check-in;
• International passengers may continue their quarantine at home or in their hotels (as the case may be) from Day 11 up to Day 14, provided they get a negative RT-PCR test result.

If CoVID-19 infection is suspected, please take the following steps as a precaution:

-stay home
- isolate yourself, as much as possible, from other members of your household.
- contact your local health department for advice.

In case of emergency, call 112 and inform the phone operator that CoVID-19 infection is suspected.
