The Philippine Embassy in Berlin conducted its first-ever consular mission in Bremen on 12 October 2019, where it rendered a total of fifty-five consular services including passport renewal, certification and notarial services, and one-on-one consultations.
The consular outreach mission was successfully delivered through close cooperation and coordination with Filipino community leaders in Bremen, many of whom are members of the Filipino Catholic Mission (PKM) Bremen. The community expressed their appreciation for the Embassy’s efforts to bring consular services closer to them, noting their delight of having avoided a long commute to Berlin because of the Embassy’s visit.
Located about 5 hours from Berlin, the City of Bremen is a transportation hub which has easy connections to port-cities of Bremerhaven and Hamburg, and to various cities of the neighboring State of Lower Saxony. Approximately 255 Filipinos reside in the Free City of Bremen. END.
