PHILIPPINE EMBASSY CONDUCTS OVERSEAS VOTING REGISTRATION DURING THE 2ND FILIPINO FIESTA IN HAMBURG
9 September 2024 – The Philippine Embassy in Berlin headed by Minister Gerardo P. Abiog conducted an overseas voting registration during the 2nd Filipino Fiesta in Hamburg organized by the Federation of Filipino Organizations in Northern Germany (FFONG) on 7 September 2024 in Altona, Hamburg.
Forty overseas Filipinos submitted their applications for overseas voting registration. A consular team also provided information on civil registration, dual citizenship, passport renewal, and document legalization.
Acting Labor Attaché Delia Palomar and Welfare Officer Sylvia H. Gabriel were also present to answer inquiries regarding labor matters from overseas Filipino workers.
Attendees were treated to a cultural show featuring Filipino folk dances and songs rendered by Philippine Choirs based in Hamburg.
Filipino cuisine was also highlighted during the event with about 20 stalls selling Filipino kakanins and Filipino favorites like pork barbecue, lechon pork belly, lumpia, halo-halo and many more.
