Berlin – The Philippine Embassy in Berlin composed of Consul Adrian Cruz, Ms. Flordeliza Delos Santos, Ms. Melinda Hernias, Ms. Lianna Judith Sale and Mr. Armand Mahinay conducted a mobile consular outreach service in Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg on 12 April 2013.
The team facilitated 97 e-passport applications, 14 authentication and notarials, 6 civil registrations and 70 certificate of identity registrations. The team noted that there were passport applications that were accepted from Filipinos along the border of Germany and Switzerland.
The five-member consular team received strong logistical support from Ms. Cecille Joy Atienza-Krause and Ms. Rhodaliza Steegmaier of the Office of the Philippine Honorary Consul General for Baden-Wüttemberg and Hesse, who implemented a pre-registration system to manage the flow of applicants.
Ambassador Maria Cleofe R. Natividad expressed her appreciation to Prof. Dr.-Ing Gerhard Zeidler, the Philippine Honorary Consul General for Baden-Württemberg and Hesse, and to DEKRA e.V., for providing the venue for the one-day outreach.
It was the first time for the Philippine Embassy to conduct a consular mobile outreach in the state of Baden-Württemberg, which has the second highest concentration of overseas Filipinos. Just the month before, the Embassy also conducted an outreach for the first time in Frankfurt am Main in the state of Hesse. The mobile outreach is part of the Philippine Embassy’s efforts to bring its consular services closer to Filipinos residing in different parts of Germany. (END)
