Binibining Pilipinas Intercontinental Christi Lynn McGarry was crowned Miss Intercontinental Queen of Asia and Oceania and bagged the First Runner Up title at the recently-concluded Miss Intercontinental 2015 in Magdeburg, Germany.Ms. McGarry is a Filipino-American from Jersey City, New Jersey. This was the second time that McGarry competed at the Miss Intercontinental. She previously competed in 2010 when she won Mutya ng Pilipinas Asia and the Pacific and made it to the top 15. Last year, the Philippines was represented by Ms. Kris Tiffany Janson who was 2nd runner up at the pageant which was also held in Magdeburg.

Ms. McGarry thanked her family, the Philippine Embassy, and members of the Filipino community for supporting her on pageant night, “It is an honor to represent our country. Thank you for your support. I am content with my performance at the competition. This is for you Philippines, laban Pilipinas!” McGarry also expressed her joy over fellow Binibining Pilipinas title holder Pia Alonso Wurtzbach winning the 2015 Miss Universe pageant in Las Vegas, Nevada. Ms. McGarry called on Ambassador Melita Sta. Maria-Thomeczek and posed besides the Philippine buddy bear (Berlin’s heraldic animal) with Philippine Embassy personnel.
