The Republic of the Philippines has appointed Dr. Stefan Detig (45) as its new Honorary Consul resident in Munich/Germany with jurisdiction throughout the Free State of Bavaria.
He succeeds Mr. Eckbert von Bohlen und Halbach who has held office for more than 15 years and has been made a recipient of the Dakilang Kamanong Award, Rank of Maginoo by President Rodrigo Roa Duterte.
Dr. Detig will continue Mr von Bohlen und Halbach´s efforts to improve trade between both countries and will help the Philippine Government to deliver high quality consular services to PHL citizens in Bavaria.
Dr. Detig is the former mayor of the City of Pullach and works as an attorney-at-law and managing director of a law firm, specialized in commercial and tax law.
On 07 July 2017, Secretary Ramon Lopez of the Department of Trade and Industry, who was visiting Munich at that time, formally inaugurated the new Honorary Consulate address. The Secretary was joined by his delegation and Ambassador Melita Sta.Maria-Thomeczek . The location of the new Honorary Consulate is at Habenschadenstrasse 16 in 82049 Pullach/Munich, Germany.
