Embassy hosts Carbo-Loading for the Philippine Contingent to the 2018 Berlin BMW Marathon

September 18, 2018

The Philippine Embassy in Berlin hosted a “carbo-loading” session for the Philippine contingent to the 2018 Berlin BMW Marathon on September 15, 2018, the evening before the race. The “carbo-loading” session, which was meant to help energize the athletes, was attended by over 60 Filipino runners from the Philippines and the United States.  Embassy officials and staff welcomed the athletes with a feast of Filipino and German food.

The Berlin BMW Marathon is one of the world´s premiere running events.  The most marathon world records for men and women have been set at the Berlin course, which is known for its flat profile, even surface, and usually mild autumn temperatures. END
