A B I S O

January 13, 2020

https://www.bamf.de/EN/Themen/MigrationAufenthalt/ZuwandererDrittstaaten/zuwandere rdrittstaaten-node.html

ADVISORY

In light of various advertisements offering assistance and services for people to reside/work in Germany, the Embassy wishes to advise that the only Philippine-German governmentto-government hiring program currently in place is the Triple-Win Project (TWP) for the hiring of Filipino nurses.

The TWP is implemented by the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ/ German Enterprise for International Cooperation).

Any other recruitment outside of the TWP goes through the Philippine Overseas Labor Office in Berlin and the POEA.

You can access the POEA’s list of verified job orders online through this link: http://www.poea.gov.ph/cgi-bin/JobVacancies/jobsMenu.asp

Please also carefully scrutinize offers of “free study while working in Germany.” A student may be able to work on a limited basis only, or, may work in the context of an apprenticeship/internship/training program related to the course of one’s studies/vocation. Further, please keep in mind that courses in many educational institutions in Germany are taught in German. As such, incoming students are required to have a certain level of proficiency in the German language.

The same expectation of a certain level of German language proficiency applies to incoming workers in Germany.

The Philippine Embassy in Berlin frequently receives inquiries on the requirements to work or reside in Germany, please note that these matters fall under the purview of the German government. As such we respectfully advise that members of the public refer to applicable German laws and regulations to avoid any confusion.

For those interested to learn about working/residing in Germany in light of the recent changes in Germany’s immigration laws, we wish to share this official link from the German Federal Office for Migration and Refugees to provide you with a starting point for your research.

Thank you.
