PHL Embassy Holds Consular Outreach in Schifferstadt

The Philippine Embassy in Berlin conducted its third Consular Outreach for 2017 at Katholic Pfarrheim St. Jacobus Kirchen, Schifferstadt.  The team is composed of Atty. Amor de Asis-Del Mundo, Ms. Ma. Cecilia Estrella, Ms. Nelma Jose-Casas, Mr. Melchor Francisco, and Ms. Lourdes Marie Reyes.

A total of 88 consular services were rendered during the 8-hour Saturday outreach, including 65 passport applications.

A Certificate of Recognition from Ambassador Melita S. Sta. Maria Thomeczek was given to Ms. Rohnna Yee-Fath abd to the Filipino Catholic Community in Schifferstadt for their continued support to the Consular Outreach Missions of the Philippine Embassy for the benefit of Filipinos residing in Rheinland-Pfalz.

Maria Thomeczek was given to Ms. Rohnna Yee-Fath and to the Filipino Catholic Community in Schifferstadt for their continued support to the Consular Outreach Missions of the Philippine Embassy for the benefit of Filipinos residing in Rheinland-Pfalz.

In addition, 51 Filipino citizens were able to register for the upcoming 2019 mid-term elections.

Due to the limited number of equipment, the Embassy implemented an on-line pre-registration of up to 50 passport applications only.  A limited number of applicants who were not able to register were accommodated through a waitlist system.

The mission was done in cooperation with the Filipino Catholic Community in Schifferstadt under the stewardship of Ms. Rohnna Yee-Fath.

The consular outreach in Schifferstadt is part of the Philippine Embassy’s efforts to bring its services closer to Filipinos living in the various German states.

Schifferstadt is a town in the Rhein-Pfalz-Kreis in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany which is more than 600kms away from Berlin.

The next consular outreach will be held in Essen on 20 May 2017.   END

PHL Embassy Holds First-Ever Consular Outreach to Neudenau-Herbolzheim

A five-member team from the Philippine Embassy conducted the first ever mobile consular mission to Neudenau-Herbolzheim on 1 April 2017.  Consul Rona Beth Goce led the mobile consular team.

A total of 49 consular services were rendered during the 8-hour Saturday outreach, including 40 passport applications.

In addition, 32 Filipino citizens were able to register to vote for the upcoming 2019 mid-term elections.

The mission was done in cooperation with the LuViMin e.V. under the leadership of Ms. Lourdes Pfisterer.  Neudenau Mayor Manfred Hebeiß  was also at hand to show his support to the initiative.

The consular outreach, the second conducted by the Philippine Embassy for 2017, is part of the Philippine government’s efforts to bring its services closer to Filipinos living in the various German states.

Neudenau-Herbolzheim is located in Baden-Württemberg which hosts the third highest concentration of Filipinos in Germany, with about 3,400 Filipinos residing in the state.

The next consular outreach will be held in Schifferstadt on 22 April 2017.   END

The Philippine Embassy in Berlin, composed of Atty. Amor P. de Asis-Del Mundo, Mr. Ruben C. Atienza, Ms. Maria Cecilia G. Estrella, Ms. Nelma Jose-Casas and Mr. Melchor D. Francisco conducted a mobile consular outreach service in Hamburg on 11 March 2017.  The Embassy team was supported by the Filipino Catholic Church Community of Hamburg, headed by Fr. Simon Boiser, and the Mindanao Solid Group-Hamburg headed by Ms. Juliet Felgentreff.

Using a pre-registration system, the consular team provided a total of 62 consular services, which included 54 E-passport applications.  The team was also able to register 41 applicants for overseas voting.

The consular mission in Hamburg was the first for the year.  At least seven more consular services will be conducted in various locations as part of the Philippine Embassy’s continuing efforts to bring its consular services closer to Filipinos residing in the more distant locations of Germany.
